Hawaii...Day at the Beach!

There is nothing better than waking up, enjoying a cup of coffee, then off to the BEACH! Day 2 in Hawaii was a day at Hale Koa on Waikiki beach. First we had lunch at a great restaurant that had amazing Mac N Cheese. (Yes, Mac N Cheese-it had truffle oil in it...yum!!) Then we headed to Hale Koa. Hale Koa is a military hotel on Waikiki. We showed our ID's and dropped our bag by this great pool that the Sundvall kids love to swim at. It had a huge shade tree and Tim and Laura settled in under the tree with Quinn to swim in the pool and I took Kyle, Kade, and Sky to the beach. There is nothing like the ocean to feel the presence of God. It is so magical! I love to feel the breeze, squish my toes in the sand, listen to kiddos splashing and playing around me, and watch the surfers. Not to mention the enormous ships and sailboats that go by. Here is the view from where I sat...
The first picture is a picture of Hale Koa to my left and the last picture is a picture of the Hilton on my right. What an amazing day...

After enjoying the beach I headed back to the pool. Relaxing with a pina colada, fresh fruit, book, and great company under the huge shade tree. Life was good today! It amazed me but the view from the pool was just as tranquil.

In Hawaii the beauty overtakes you at times. The food and culture are amazing but one thing I never realized were that they had the strangest looking trees. Everywhere you turn you see God. I love it! I am so blessed to be able to come here for a few days of R and R before we go to China and that is only possible because I have the most amazing husband in the world! I left my heart in Denver but am thankful for the opportunity to experience this "Trip of a Lifetime" and having peace knowing that Paul is the most capable, generous, and loving father and husband. Thank you my love...xoxoxo
